Government to soon call for proposals to build chemical fertilizer factory

Prime Minister Balendra Shah 'Balen' has said the government will soon call for proposals to establish a chemical fertilizer factory within Nepal.

He shared this information during a discussion with lawmakers with an engineering background at Singha Durbar.

Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Dr. Ram Lama, who took part in the discussion, said the prime minister had shared this information.

The government has prioritized partnering with the private sector to open a factory in order to increase domestic production of chemical fertilizer.

The government's published commitment paper also mentions establishing a fertilizer factory in partnership with the private sector.
