Congress calls special meeting Sunday to discuss recent developments

The main opposition party Nepali Congress has called a special meeting for Sunday. The meeting will be held at 1pm Sunday at the party's central office in Sanepa.
A Congress office-bearer told Onlinekhabar that the meeting has been called to discuss recent developments and draw the government's attention to them. Nepal Press reported that the meeting would discuss the government's recent controversial activities.
According to Nepal Live, the meeting will discuss the incident in which police entered a media house and took a journalist into custody. The division of responsibilities among party office-bearers and central members, as well as the parallel general convention being pushed forward by former president Sher Bahadur Deuba's faction, will also be on the meeting's agenda.
Congress has called this meeting at a time when various political parties and organizations are protesting the police's entry into the media house and the arrest of the journalist.
