The ruling Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) has concluded that a parliamentary process is the only constitutional option to resolve recent disputes in the judicial sector. Party spokesperson Jagdish Kharel said the secretariat meeting held at the party's central office on Saturday afternoon reached this conclusion.

The meeting decided to direct the party's parliamentary party to move forward with the parliamentary process to resolve problems in the judicial sector and restructure the judiciary as a whole. Rather than confining the matter to the courts and the government alone, the party has planned to direct its MPs through the parliamentary party to initiate discussion and the necessary process in parliament.

According to Bizmandu, RSP has begun discussions on impeaching Chief Justice Manoj Kumar Sharma and Justice Hari Phuyal. This dispute is linked to middleman Enam Sapkota.

According to Setopati, party chairman Rabi Lamichhane held discussions with MPs about a possible impeachment. During the discussion, he asked whether there was sufficient basis and evidence for impeachment and how strong it was. MPs suggested three options to him for taking action against the judges in question.
