7,229 police to be mobilized in 8 Madhesh districts for Dashain, Tihar and Chhath

Targeting the Dashain, Tihar and Chhath festivals, 7,229 police personnel are to be mobilized in 8 districts of Madhesh province. This mobilization is as per the festival security plan prepared by the Madhesh Province Police Office, Janakpurdham.

As per the plan, the largest number, 1,599 police personnel, will be deployed in Dhanusha.

Police said 28 help desks will also be operated at border points.

A ban has been imposed on operating Ferris wheels (rotaping) in Dhanusha during the festival occasions.
