Oil depots and petrol pumps to stay open on rotation during Dashain holidays

Nepal Oil Corporation has said fuel sales from petrol pumps will continue even during the Dashain public holidays.

Depots and pumps across Kathmandu Valley and various provinces and districts will remain open on a rotating basis. According to the corporation, depots will stay open as per a fixed schedule on all days except Tika day and Ekadashi during Dashain.

The corporation has set separate dates for depots in all seven provinces. On Kartik 1, the Thankot depot in Kathmandu, Amlekhganj in Madhesh, Pokhara in Gandaki and Bhairahawa in Lumbini will be open. The Biratnagar depot in Koshi and the Surkhet and Sudurpashchim depots are not on the list of depots open that day.

On Kartik 2, all listed depots in all seven provinces will operate simultaneously. On Kartik 6, the Thankot, Biratnagar, Amlekhganj, Pokhara and Bhairahawa depots will be open.

On Kartik 7, fuel will be available only from the Thankot depot in the Valley and the Surkhet and Sudurpashchim depots. On Kartik 8, the Biratnagar depot in Koshi, Amlekhganj in Madhesh and Bhairahawa in Lumbini will operate.

The Thankot, Amlekhganj and Bhairahawa depots will stay open for four days each, Biratnagar and Pokhara for three days each, and Surkhet and Sudurpashchim for two days each.
