Kali Gandaki flood damages 66 houses in Parbat's Farse market

Flooding in the Kali Gandaki River has devastated the old market of Farse in Jaljala Rural Municipality-8, Parbat, within moments.

The flood, which struck in the morning following continuous rainfall, damaged 66 houses in Farse.

Sunday's flooding in the Kali Gandaki River has blocked the Mid-Hill Highway, which connects Parbat, Baglung, Myagdi and Mustang in the Dhaulagiri region to the national road network, at several points.

Meanwhile, crowds have gathered in Dodeni after reserving vehicles from Baglung Bazaar to see the flood in the Kali Gandaki. Since early Sunday morning, locals have been arriving in jeeps, auto-rickshaws and other vehicles to view the flood.
