Oli to skip Nepali Congress convention inauguration; Prachanda to attend

The inauguration ceremony of the Nepali Congress's 15th convention is scheduled for 2 pm today at Khula Manch in Kathmandu. The Congress has sent invitations to top leaders of various political parties for the ceremony.

However, not all top leaders of the parties that received invitations will attend. UML chairman KP Sharma Oli will not attend the inauguration as a guest. Instead, the UML general secretary will extend greetings to the convention.

Prachanda, however, is set to take part in the inauguration ceremony.

Leaders from various parties are reported to be attending the inauguration. After the ceremony, the closed-door session of the convention will be held in halls set up within Khula Manch.
