Vote counting for the remaining office-bearer posts under the Nepali Congress's 15th general convention is taking place today. While counting for the post of president has been completed, results for vice-president, general secretary and other office-bearer posts are yet to come.

Ballot boxes for posts other than president were taken to the party office in Sanepa late last night. Counting of those ballot boxes is set to begin only this afternoon.

In the presidential vote count held earlier, Gagan Kumar Thapa was elected. Thapa received 6,584 votes while his rival Shyam Krishna Khadgi got 375 votes. A total of 7,013 votes were cast.
