Dipendra Singh Airee, captain of Nepal's T20 international cricket team, went unsold in the auction held for the upcoming season of the UAE's International League T20 (ILT20).

He had registered for the auction with a base price of $10,000, the minimum amount from which a team must start bidding. At the Nepal Rastra Bank's exchange rate of Rs 153.04 on Asoj 15, this amounts to nearly Rs 1.53 million. Although his name came up in the auction, no team placed a bid for him.

Airee had previously been contracted with Gulf Giants, the same league's team, for two consecutive seasons. Despite being on Gulf Giants' official squad list, he did not get a chance to play a single match in either season.

This was the first time ILT20 selected players through an auction process. Players from various countries took part in the auction.

Airee is considered one of Nepali cricket's leading T20 players. He has played in various franchise T20 tournaments around the world but has not yet had the opportunity to take the field in the ILT20.
