PM relief fund balance tops Rs 17.54 billion as Bhotekoshi flood donations continue

The balance in the Prime Minister Disaster Relief Fund and the Prime Minister Relief Fund has reached Rs 17,544,289,678. This is the total amount collected in the various accounts of the funds so far as of today.
Donations to these funds are still pouring in following the flood in the Bhotekoshi river in Rasuwa. The number of people contributing to both funds since the disaster has been rising.
The devastating flood that struck the Bhotekoshi river on Bhadau 10 has so far killed 1,457 people, while 4,720 people remain missing. The flood caused extensive damage to settlements, roads and other structures in the Rasuwa area.
