Charange Youth Club wins Jharana Running Shield title

Charange Youth Club of Devdaha has won the title of the 38th Jharana Running Shield knockout football tournament held at Tilottama-Kunjalapur in Rupandehi.
In the final played on Sunday at Uma Basic School ground, Charange defeated Gorkha Boys Club of Butwal 3-1.
Champions Charange received a shield, certificate and medals along with a cash prize of Rs 400,000. Runners-up Gorkha Boys were given Rs 200,000 in cash along with a shield, certificate and medals. Tilottama Municipality Chief Ramkrishna Khanna handed over the prizes to the winning and runner-up teams.
Among individual awards, Charange's Abhinas was named the tournament's best player. His teammate Krishna Ale was named best midfielder, and Bhim Pun was named best goalkeeper. Gorkha Boys' foreign player Shila won the best defender award. Dipsan Sapkota of organizers Jharana was chosen as the emerging player. Match commissioner Mohan Rana announced the selection of the award winners. Cash prizes were also given to the best players in various categories.
