League 2: Nepal beats Canada by 24 runs on Rohit's century

Nepal defeated Canada by 24 runs in its first match of the one-day series under the ICC Men's Cricket World Cup League 2 being held in Oman. The match was played on Sunday.
Chasing Nepal's target of 236 runs, Canada was all out for 211 runs in 48.4 overs. Rohit scored a century in Nepal's innings. Rohit and Gulshan made the key contributions to Nepal's win.
In bowling, Lalit Rajbanshi gave Nepal its sixth wicket when he dismissed Canada's Shreyas Movva off the third ball of the 34th over of the innings. Canada then could not reach the target and lost all its wickets before the final over was completed.
The match was played as part of League 2's final series. With this win, Nepal's hopes of retaining its ODI status remain alive.
