15 killed, 1,284 rescued in four days of floods, landslides and other disasters

Floods, landslides and other disasters have killed 15 people across the country over the past four days. Police say 15 people have died so far in disasters triggered by continuous rainfall since Asoj 8.

According to police, three people died in Bagmati Province, four in Lumbini, five in Gandaki and two in Karnali due to the disasters. Deaths have also been reported in Madhesh Province.

Security personnel have rescued 1,284 people from various locations during the disasters.

Earlier, the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Authority had said that floods and landslides caused by three days of continuous rainfall had killed 12 people and left 7 missing nationwide. As the rain continued, the death toll rose to 15.
