RPP seeks explanation from Makwanpur chief after suspended leader joins event

The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP)'s central disciplinary committee has sought an explanation from Makwanpur district chairman Rishilal Shrestha.

The committee sought the explanation over having three Bagmati Province ministers, who had been suspended by the party, along with parliamentary party leader Uddhav Thapa, take part in a party program.

The party said it has taken seriously the act of inviting the suspended leaders to organize a welcome and honor program, as well as taking them to project sites under the guise of inspection visits to various projects.

Having held a party event with the suspended leaders as guests, district chairman Shrestha will now have to respond to the disciplinary committee.
