14 RSP lawmakers suggest moving impeachment process against judges facing questions

Fourteen lawmakers with a legal background elected from the Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) have recommended that the party begin the impeachment process against judges facing questions.
The lawmakers, who held discussions on impeachment, have advised the party leadership that a probe should be carried out by forming an impeachment recommendation committee.
The ruling RSP has concluded that the judges are implicated in serious deviations and improper collusion, and has decided to take steps toward judicial reform and restructuring. Leaders of opposition parties have also expressed their own views on the matter.
Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) Chairman Rajendra Lingden has claimed that impeaching one or two judges alone will not bring reform to the judiciary.
