A case has been filed against four senior officials and staff of the All Nepal Football Association (ANFA), including president Pankaj Bikram Nembang and general secretary Kiran Rai. They have been accused of match-fixing, irregularities and fraud.

Nepal Police's Central Investigation Bureau (CIB) had investigated financial irregularities, match-fixing and fraud at ANFA. Based on that investigation report, the case filed seeks up to 10 years' imprisonment and claims damages of Rs 9.3 million (93 lakh) from the accused.

The charge sheet filed at Lalitpur District Court states that there were serious irregularities and misappropriation in the sale and distribution of online tickets ANFA had received for the FIFA World Cup 2026. The charge sheet includes, among its investigation findings, matters ranging from the statement of ANFA central member Sarila Shrestha to ticket sales conducted through Facebook.

With the case now filed, the allegations of financial irregularities and match-fixing against ANFA's top leadership have reached the court.
