Fire breaks out at scrap warehouse in Bhaktapur's Suryabinayak, damage estimated at Rs 5 million

A scrap warehouse in Kapali Tole, Ward 8 of Suryabinayak Municipality, Bhaktapur, caught fire on Monday morning. According to Jagati Police Circle, Bhaktapur, the fire broke out at around 6:30 am.
Firefighters brought the fire under control. The damage from the fire is estimated at about Rs 5 million.
It has been reported that a short circuit in the warehouse, where scrap goods were stored, caused a gas explosion that started the fire.
According to Gorkhapatra, the fire broke out at a plastic granule-making factory operating in Kapilichowk, Jagati. Navaraj Bhatta had been running the factory.
