Galaundi section of Prithvi Highway fully closed tonight from 11 pm to 5 am

Vehicle movement will be completely closed tonight (Monday) on the Prithvi Highway at Galaundi, Gajuri Rural Municipality-5, Dhading. The District Administration Office, Dhading, announced this on Monday.

The closure is needed to carry out further repairs on the road section that was damaged by erosion from the Trishuli River. No vehicles will be allowed to ply on the section for six hours, from 11 pm to 5 am.

During this period, traffic on the Mugling-Kathmandu road section will be halted. The decision to close the road at night was made in order to complete the repair work.

The closure of this section of the Prithvi Highway for repairs comes at a time when the number of passengers returning home from Kathmandu is rising as Dashain approaches.
