Six construction firms blacklisted for failing to work as per contract on Karnali Highway

Six construction companies have been blacklisted for failing to carry out work as per agreement on the upgrading and construction of the Karnali Highway, including the road running through Jumla to Manang–Mustang, and of the Nagma–Gamgadi road.

The companies were blacklisted under public procurement rules for not carrying out work as per the agreement. Blacklisted companies are barred from taking part in procurement processes for three years.

The Karnali Highway is the main road connecting Jumla and the wider Karnali region. The action was taken after companies responsible for upgrading and building the Nagma–Gamgadi road, together with this highway section, failed to carry out work as specified.

Blacklisted companies will not be allowed to take part in public bodies' procurement processes for the specified period.
