Injured tiger caught in snare found at Lamjung hydropower project

An injured tiger has been found in the mesh at the Sino Sagarmatha Hydropower project in Khudi, Lamjung. Khudi falls under Ward 8 of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality. The tiger's left leg is stuck in a snare.

Upon receiving information at 2 pm on Sunday, a team of security personnel and forest staff was deployed for the rescue. Another team, led by Forest Officer Rajbahadur Bik and including two forest guards, has also reached the site from the sub-divisional forest office in Ward 6 of Marsyangdi Rural Municipality.

According to the latest information, rescue operations are ongoing.
