Government decides to build temporary shelters for Rasuwa flood victims

The government has decided to immediately build transitional shelters for families displaced and affected by the devastating flood that hit the Bhotekoshi River in Rasuwa on Bhadra 10.
The temporary shelters will be built together with non-governmental organizations and local governments. According to the decision of the meeting, the supporting organization must build houses within prescribed standards on land provided by the Government of Nepal.
Meanwhile, the government has also proposed a plan to build two-storey, six-room houses for Bhotekoshi flood victims. Infrastructure Development Minister Sunil Lamsal has said that the housing project, named 'Vidur Satellite City', is currently being prepared.
The temporary shelters are being arranged to give families who lost their homes to the flood a place to stay immediately.
