Gagan Thapa's political report: Congress moved away from people by choosing power over purpose

Nepali Congress President Gagan Kumar Thapa has offered a self-critical review of the party's shortcomings over the past two decades in his political report to be presented at the 15th General Convention.
The report concludes that Congress moved away from the people when it chose posts and power over its objectives. Thapa also commented on two trends seen in relation to the Bhadau people's uprising.
Thapa has also put forward a vision titled 'The coming decade of national renaissance and prosperity,' covering the country, democracy and the party's future direction. He is scheduled to present this vision at a closed-door session of the convention today.
