120,000 excise stickers smuggled from India seized in Rautahat

Excise stickers being illegally brought into Nepal from India have been seized in Rautahat. The Armed Police Force took control of the stickers on Friday.
Six rolls containing 120,000 excise stickers were seized from the Tejapakad area of Paroha Municipality-3 in Rautahat. The stickers were being illegally brought from India into Nepal.
The stickers, which the Government of Nepal uses on excise-dutiable goods, were found being smuggled in from India through the border area.
Following the seizure of the illegal stickers, debate has begun over the security of excise stickers, their supply system, and possible misuse.
