Electricity Authority on standby to prevent power disruptions during Dashain

The Nepal Electricity Authority has begun preparations to prevent disruptions in electricity supply during the major Dashain festival. To ensure reliable, regular and quality power supply to consumers, the Authority has directed distribution centers across the country to remain on standby with the necessary preparations.

Staff have also been instructed to promptly answer calls to the 'No Light' service to address complaints about power supply during Dashain. The Authority has also told employees to make complaint management more effective.

The Authority said the directive was issued because many consumers stay home during the festival season, raising demand for electricity, and supply disruptions must be avoided.
