Musk unveils new Roadster car that can fly

Tesla CEO Elon Musk has unveiled a new Roadster car fitted with thrusters that can briefly fly.
The event, held at SpaceX's test facility in Texas, United States, on Thursday, was livestreamed from Tesla's X account.
In the demonstration, the car leapt off a vertical ramp and landed back on its own wheels on the ground. In another released video, the car is seen flying over five Tesla vehicles and completing a full loop in the air.
After the demonstration, Musk said the flying car is now real. He said that while success is not guaranteed, there is a good chance it will work.
According to Musk, the car has a tank filled with extremely high-pressure air, whose pressure pushes the vehicle upward. He said the technology was made possible through collaboration between carmaker Tesla and rocket company SpaceX.
Musk said the car will go into production in 2028. Despite remaining technical and regulatory challenges, advances in electric motors and batteries have increased interest in the concept of flying cars.
