IOM warns millions of Ukrainians could be displaced again this winter

The UN's International Organization for Migration (IOM) has warned that millions of Ukrainians could be displaced again in the coming winter.
The organization said Russian attacks damaging civilian energy infrastructure have disrupted electricity, heating and water supplies.
Arthur Erken, IOM's regional director for Europe and Central Asia, said this winter could be the hardest since the war began. He said that if the situation worsens, many people may be forced to leave their homes again.
According to IOM, about 3.6 million Ukrainians remain internally displaced. Around 3.8 million people have returned home, of whom nearly 1,450,000 live in districts near the front lines of the war.
Of those, about 565,000 reside in the Kharkiv region.
