Controversial audio: RSP MP Khagendra Sunar sends written denial to party

Rastriya Swatantra Party, RSP, MP Khagendra Sunar has claimed that the voice in a controversial audio conversation allegedly between him and a woman is not his. He has submitted a written denial to the party's disciplinary committee repeating this claim.
According to committee vice-chief and investigation committee coordinator, advocate Harichandra Bhattarai, Sunar's letter largely repeats the position he had already stated on social media. Sunar had earlier claimed the audio was fabricated using AI and other technology. He has said he is being targeted after raising the issue of corruption within the police.
RSP began an internal investigation after the audio became public. Following Sunar's denial, the committee has moved to verify whether the audio is genuine and to gather independent evidence. For this, it has sought the unedited audio from Janaastha and the audio of an interview with News24.
