Fuel shortage in Mustang as Beni–Jomsom road blockade hits development work

Fuel shortages have begun in Mustang after the Beni–Jomsom road, a national pride project, was blocked.

Because of the fuel shortage, construction on the Beni–Jomsom–Korala road, a national pride project, has been affected. Development construction projects run by the federal and provincial governments and other levels have also been hit.

The Beni–Jomsom road is the main road connecting Mustang. After the road was blocked, fuel supply to the district was disrupted, and shortages have begun to appear.

Until the road reopens, construction work under way in the district is expected to remain affected by the fuel shortage.
