Western wind effect: light rain, snowfall likely in some Himalayan and hill areas

Nepal is currently under the partial effect of the westerly wind. According to the Weather Forecasting Division under the Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, there is partly cloudy weather across the country.
According to the division, light rain and snowfall are currently occurring in one or two places in Darchula, Bajhang and Humla. Light rain and snowfall are forecast in some Himalayan and hilly areas of the country today as well.
The department has issued a special bulletin on a weather system called Murasu. According to the analysis so far, the bulletin states that this system will not have a significant effect on Nepal's weather.
Since the new system is not expected to have an impact, meteorologists suggest farmers can harvest paddy without worry. According to them, there is no likelihood of a system bringing heavy rain to Nepal over the next two weeks.
