Arnab's effect weakening; weather to gradually improve after afternoon

Rain and snowfall occurring in various parts of the country due to the low-pressure area left behind by Cyclone Arnab will gradually decrease after Saturday afternoon, leading to an improvement in the weather. The Weather Forecasting Division has said that Arnab's effect will keep weakening from Sunday and the weather will improve.

Rain is occurring in most parts of the country on Saturday. Many areas of Gandaki Province are experiencing rain with thunder and lightning, while light to moderate rain is occurring in some areas of other provinces. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Kathmandu and Pokhara today, with an 80 percent chance of rain in both cities.

Rain that began Thursday night has soaked most parts of the country through Saturday morning. In the latest 24 hours up to Saturday morning, the highest rainfall was recorded at Manang's Tal weather station, at 104.4 millimeters.
