Continuous rain floods TU cricket ground, both NPL matches today affected

The Tribhuvan University cricket ground in Kirtipur, venue for the Nepal Premier League (NPL), has been flooded due to continuous rain since Thursday. Although the ground has been covered with tarpaulins, water has seeped in underneath them.
Two matches are scheduled for Saturday under the third edition of the NPL. The first match, between Lumbini Lions and Chitwan Rhinos, is scheduled for 12:30 pm. The second match, between Biratnagar Kings and Sudurpashchim Royals, is scheduled to begin at 5 pm.
With continuous rain in Kathmandu for more than 24 hours, both matches appear almost certain to be affected. As rain continued on Saturday as well, the likelihood of the matches being held on schedule looks very low.
