Ronaldo scores hat-trick after 908 days, now 15 goals from 1,000

Portugal and Saudi club Al Nassr captain Cristiano Ronaldo has scored a hat-trick after a gap of 908 days.

In Thursday's Saudi Pro League match, he scored three goals in the second half. Two of his first-half goals were ruled out by the referee for offside, a decision over which Ronaldo showed his displeasure on the field.

In the 66th minute, he put his team ahead with a goal assisted by Portuguese teammate Joao Felix. Six minutes later, in the 72nd minute, he doubled the lead with a header. In the 81st minute, he completed his hat-trick with a third goal assisted by Sadio Mane.

This was the 67th hat-trick of his career; he had previously scored one against Al Wehda on May 4, 2024. With this hat-trick, Ronaldo's career goal tally has reached 985, leaving him just 15 goals away from the milestone of 1,000. He scored this hat-trick at the age of 41.
