11th National Sepak Takraw from Kartik 14 in Pokhara

The 11th National Sepak Takraw competition will be held in Pokhara from Kartik 14 to 17.

Being held in Gandaki Province for the first time, the tournament will take place at the multi-purpose covered hall of Pokhara Stadium. The Gandaki Province Sepak Takraw Association is organizing the event with support from the Nepal Sepak Takraw Association.

According to provincial association chairman Shyam Bahadur Shrestha, eight teams each will compete in the men's and women's categories, representing the Nepali Army and all seven provinces. The men's category will feature team regu, regu, quad, double and team events, while the women's category will feature only regu and quad events.

Nepal Sepak Takraw Association chairman Netra Bahadur Gurung said the competition is being held to develop, expand and promote the sport. The organizers briefed reporters on the tournament at a press conference on Thursday.
