Landslides and flooding have blocked more than a dozen road sections across the country, including the Prithvi Highway. Due to continuous rain, the Prithvi Highway has been blocked at Parewabhir in Gajuri Rural Municipality-2, Dhading.

Continuous rain triggered landslides and mudslides that have also halted traffic on two road routes linking Hetauda and Kathmandu. A landslide has occurred on the Kantilokpath, while the Bhimphedi–Kulekhani–Sisneri road is also blocked. The Phakhel road and the Tribhuvan Highway remain open for traffic between Hetauda and Kathmandu.

The Hetauda–Bhimphedi–Dakshinkali road section has been completely blocked after a landslide with mudflow struck Sisneri in Indra Sarovar Rural Municipality, Makwanpur, at around 10:30 am on Saturday.

Road transport in various parts of the country has been affected as the continuous rain persists.
