Fourth day of Navratri: worship of goddess Kushmanda today

On the fourth day of Navratri during the Dashain festival, the fourth of the nine Durgas, goddess Kushmanda, is being worshipped today with due rituals. Today is Wednesday, Asoj 28, 2083 BS. The lunar date is Ashwin Shukla Chaturthi.

Every year, goddess Kushmanda is worshipped on Ashwin Shukla Chaturthi, the fourth day of the Durga fortnight. Following this tradition, goddess Kushmanda is being worshipped today in homes, in the dashain ghar or puja rooms.

At shakti peeths and goddess temples across the country as well, the fourth form of Navadurga Bhawani, goddess Kushmanda, is being worshipped.

As Dashain draws near, festive activity has increased, with families and relatives beginning to gather to celebrate the festival.
