Power supply normalizes again in Mustang and Annapurna after transmission line repair

Electricity supply has returned to normal in Myagdi's Annapurna Rural Municipality and Mustang, areas affected by recent rain and floods, after damaged transmission and distribution lines were repaired.
Floods and landslides triggered by rain between Asoj 8 and 11 had hit the power system in the Kaligandaki region, disrupting supply in both areas.
According to Chapagain, chief of the distribution center, nine megawatts of electricity generated from the Thapakhola and Ghalemdikhola hydropower projects have been connected to the 33 kV line. He said this electricity is being supplied to Annapurna Rural Municipality and Mustang.
Local residents in these flood and landslide-affected areas have found relief now that power supply has become regular again.
