NPL-3: Kamal Singh Airee's lethal bowling gives Chitwan Rhinos an 8-run win over Biratnagar

Chitwan Rhinos began their Nepal Premier League (NPL) season 3 campaign with an 8-run win over Biratnagar Kings. In Tuesday's match at the Tribhuvan University Cricket Ground in Kirtipur, Biratnagar were bowled out for 149 in 19 overs and 3 balls while chasing Chitwan's target of 158.
Biratnagar had been 132 for 5 when Andre Russell, who hit four sixes, was dismissed in the 15.5th over. After that, the side added just 17 runs off 23 balls before losing their remaining five wickets.
Biratnagar needed 21 runs off 18 balls to win. But they came under pressure after Kamal Singh Airee took two wickets in consecutive balls in the 18th over. Airee's bowling proved decisive in Chitwan's victory.
After the match, Biratnagar captain Sandeep Lamichhane said that losing wickets late despite having the game under control, and playing rushed, wrong shots, were the main reasons for the defeat.
