Apple to replace foldable iPhone units after screen problems emerge

Apple has said it will replace its first foldable phone, the 'iPhone Duo,' for customers after internal screen problems emerged just days after sales began.
The phone is seen as the biggest change to the iPhone's design in roughly 20 years. It went on sale at Apple Stores amid large crowds last Friday.
Users have posted photos on X and Reddit showing horizontal and vertical lines on the screen and cracks at the folding point. Some customers have also complained of a crackling sound when opening and closing the phone.
Apple acknowledged in a statement on Monday that the problem has appeared in a very small number of phones. The company said affected customers within AppleCare warranty coverage will be given new phones, and asked affected customers to contact its official customer service.
The starting 256GB version is priced at about $1,999 and the 2TB version at about $3,199. In Nepali rupees, the phone costs around Rs 300,000.
