20th Asian Games concludes, Nepal limited to two bronze medals

The 20th Asian Games (Asiad) held in Japan concluded on Sunday. The closing ceremony took place at Paloma Mizuho Stadium in Aichi-Nagoya.

The Games closed with a pledge to meet again in Qatar in four years. The next Asian Games will be held in Qatar in 2030.

Nepal won only two bronze medals in this edition. The report notes that nearly two and a half years of regular training did not produce the expected results, and that Nepali athletes lacked sufficient match exposure.
