Seven RPP provincial lawmakers file defamation case against party chief Lingden

A defamation case has been filed against Rajendra Lingden, chairman of the Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP). Seven lawmakers from Bagmati Province filed the case against their own party chairman at a court in Hetauda.

Those who filed the case include Bagmati Provincial Assembly parliamentary party leader Uddhav Thapa, and ministers Girbahadur Tamang, Rajendra Prajapati and Raju Bista.

Likewise, lawmakers Monika Shrestha, Nuraj Bajracharya and Dambar Tamang are also among those who filed the case.

With the party's own provincial lawmakers approaching the court against the chairman, the matter has become public as an internal dispute within the RPP.
