Investigation into suspended APF AIG Banshiraj Dahal assigned to AIG Anjani Kumar Poudel

The Home Ministry has appointed AIG Anjani Kumar Poudel, another additional inspector general of police, to investigate Banshiraj Dahal, an AIG of the Armed Police Force (APF) who has been suspended over allegations of leaking confidential information.

The ministry has named Poudel, who is serving in the Human Resources Department at APF headquarters, as the investigating officer. He has been asked to investigate the allegations against Dahal and submit a report to the ministry within three days.

The Home Ministry suspended Dahal on Monday evening over allegations of leaking "sensitive security-related information." According to Setopati, he was suspended because of his contact with Cholendra and Inam.

The ministry will make further decisions on the allegations against Dahal after the investigating officer's report is received.
