Conference of all seven provincial chief ministers in Biratnagar on Asoj 27-28

A conference of chief ministers from all seven provinces will be held in Biratnagar on Asoj 27 and 28, organized by the Koshi Province government.
Koshi Chief Minister Hikmat Kumar Karki told reporters on Sunday that preparations for the conference have been completed.
He said the conference aims to make federal governance more effective and seek solutions to shared problems facing the provinces.
Fiscal federalism, distribution of natural resources, inter-provincial infrastructure, disaster management and mobilization of provincial economic resources are the main items on the agenda.
Also on the shared agenda are enacting the laws needed to implement federalism, exercising provincial rights, and increasing internal revenue.
Discussions will also cover the legal and administrative difficulties facing the provinces, their economic situation, and potential partnerships in development.
Implementation of the rights granted by the constitution and coordination with the federal government will also be discussed.
The goal is to identify common issues, prepare an action plan, and make inter-provincial cooperation regular and results-oriented.
On the final day, all seven chief ministers are scheduled to sign the "Koshi Declaration-2083." The Koshi government said the declaration will cover the provinces' shared problems and development priorities.
