Tanahun-side approach road of Kaligandaki bridge linking Tanahun and Nawalpur being rebuilt

The Tanahun-side approach road of the bridge over the Kaligandaki river linking Ghiring in Tanahun and Baudikali in Nawalpur, which was damaged by incessant rain, is being rebuilt. Repair work on the approach road has begun.

Vehicles have been unable to use the bridge since the approach road was damaged by the Asoj 11 flood. This has been disrupting the movement of vehicles traveling from Tanahun to Nawalpur, as well as those coming from Nawalpur to Pokhara via Tanahun.

The recent flooding caused extensive damage to public structures in Tanahun. The concerned authorities have begun the process of reconstructing the damaged structures.
