Man arrested for claiming contact with Home Minister's secretariat, spreading rumors via audio calls

Police have arrested a man who claimed to have contact with members of Home Minister Sudhan Gurung's secretariat and made audio calls on that basis. He was arrested by police in Kathmandu.

The arrested man is a resident of Nepalgunj Sub-Metropolitan City-4 in Banke and had been living in Kageshwori Manohara. He was arrested on charges of making phone calls claiming close ties with people close to the Home Minister and spreading confusion through audio conversations.

When police checked his record, they found six previous cases against him.
