Low pressure system in Bay of Bengal may bring rain, snow from Kartik 12

According to the Weather Forecasting Division, there will be no major change in weather across the country until Kartik 11. However, rain and snowfall are likely from Thursday, Kartik 12.
Meteorologists say a low pressure system is developing over the Bay of Bengal. Its effect is expected to bring cloudy conditions to Nepal from Wednesday, with chances of rain and snowfall rising from Thursday. The system is reported to be strengthening further.
From Thursday to Sunday, various parts of the country are expected to receive an average of 100 millimeters of rainfall, with some areas likely to see up to 200 millimeters.
Meteorologists have said the risk of landslides remains high as hilly regions are still wet. They have urged people to stay alert, warning that this post-Dashain rainfall could increase the danger of landslides in hilly areas.
