Landslide buries house in Baglung's Nisikhola, killing mother and three sons

A landslide buried a house at Hardara in Nisikhola Rural Municipality-3 of Baglung, killing four members of the same family. The house was buried when a landslide suddenly fell from above following continuous rainfall.

According to Phanindra Prasain, chief of the District Police Office, Baglung, those killed in the landslide were Shyam Kumari Bik and her three sons.

Similarly, two people have died and three others are missing in a landslide in Palpa. According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Bhimlal Bhattarai of the District Police Office, Palpa, landslides had fallen in Mathagadhi Rural Municipality-2 and Ribdikot Rural Municipality-6.

With this, the number of people killed in landslides in Palpa and Baglung has reached six, while three others remain missing.
