Former president Bhandari gives Dashain tika to daughter, son-in-law and public

Former president Bidya Devi Bhandari received jamara and blessings from her mother, Mithila Pandey, on Vijaya Dashami, Wednesday.

Similarly, former president Bhandari gave Dashain tika to her daughter and son-in-law. After celebrating Dashain with her family, she also gave tika to members of the general public.

Former president Bhandari is a senior leader of the CPN-UML. On the occasion of Vijaya Dashami, she gave tika to family members as well as to the general public.

On Vijaya Dashami, the main day of Bada Dashain, there is a tradition of receiving tika, jamara and blessings from elders. In keeping with this tradition, former president Bhandari received jamara and blessings from her mother and gave tika to younger family members and the general public.
