When will the long-stalled School Education Bill finally arrive?

The question of when the School Education Bill will be issued is being raised by teachers and ordinary citizens alike. School education is still being run under the Education Act of 2028 BS.

Governments, prime ministers and education ministers from various parties have promised to bring the bill, but it has not materialized. A bill to amend and consolidate school education laws, drafted in 2080 BS, had reached its final stage of issuance.

However, it became inactive after the House of Representatives was dissolved following the Gen Z movement. According to Thahakhabar, the government led by the Rastriya Swatantra Party, which now holds nearly a two-thirds majority, has begun groundwork to bring a new bill.
