Businessman Shankar Agrawal, granted bail by Supreme Court, sent to custody by Special Court

Businessman Shankar Agrawal, who had received an order from the Supreme Court to be released on bail, has been sent to custody by the Special Court.

The Supreme Court had ordered Agrawal's release on bail in a banking offense case. However, the Special Court has ordered him held in custody in a case related to money laundering.

A bench of Special Court Chairperson Vasudev Acharya and members Hemanta Rawal and Bidur Koirala on Tuesday denied Agrawal's release on bail and ordered him held in custody.

With this, despite having received a Supreme Court order for release on bail, Agrawal will remain in custody in the money laundering case.
