Supreme Court issues interim order barring Gandaki CM Pandey from long-term decisions

The Supreme Court has issued an interim order barring Gandaki Province Chief Minister Surendra Pandey from making decisions of long-term significance.
The CPN-UML withdrew from the provincial government on Bhadra 10. Since then, Chief Minister Pandey has been running a minority government.
The constitution provides that if any party in the government withdraws from it, the government must seek a vote of confidence within 30 days. The Supreme Court issued this order amid an ongoing dispute over the vote of confidence.
